Crossville Connects with Interior Designers at IIDA Georgia’s 12on12 Event

One night, twelve interior designers, fourteen intriguing questions, lots of insight into what inspires and motivates design professionals today:
The IIDA Georgia 12on12 Event

The IIDA Georgia Chapter’s 12on12 event was a unique gathering of some of Atlanta’s brightest talent in the interior design industry. The evening centered around a guided panel discussion in which the 12 voices of the Atlanta design scene shared their professional insights on leading topics, with very personal perspectives.

Crossville sponsored two of the panelist participants for the evening, Gretchen Lotz of IA Interior Architects and Karen McCallum of Heery International.

Ms. Lotz has 12 years of professional experience in hospitality, high-rise residential and corporate interiors. An interior architect with core competencies in schematic planning, high level interior architectural detailing and construction documentation, Ms. Lotz is attuned to providing clients’ with in-budget solutions to meet interior architectural needs.

Senior Interior Designer Karen McCallum specializes in sports, healthcare and corporate design with a client-centric approach. In her seven years of professional experience, she’s brought notable creativity to some of Heery’s most high profile projects. A graduate of the University of Florida, Ms. McCallum is LEED AP with a prolific, impressive portfolio.

The panelists delved into topics on the early lessons learned in their careers, best advice received, inspirations for design and how the economy has impacted their professional paths. They also shared about motivation and work ethic in their current employment and offered the advice they’re most likely to give younger interior designers just starting out.

Crossville is committed to supporting the design community in practical ways. The best way we can create products that meet the needs of architects and designers is to understand their perspectives and priorities, and we value every opportunity to build relationships with and learn from those we serve.

Special thanks to IIDA – Georgia for inviting us to be part of this great event!
